As part of its larger initiative to bring about more awareness on BG switches and accessories among electricians, BG (British General) organized a seminar in Bidaya on 8^th May 2011. Seminar was successfully organized by the collective efforts of Mr. Rasheed (sales executive), Mr. Sreekanth (outdoor sales supervisor) and Mr. Salman Khalid (BG brand manager), Mr. Mushtaq and Mr. Saeed.

Mr. Fazal (BDM) also attended the seminar and he delivered a welcome note and his presence was a support to all of us. Encouraging Omani colleagues, he urged them to come forward and take senior position and accept additional responsibilities in the organization.

Staffs that stood out during 2009 were felicitated on the occasion. The Group General Manager announced the awards for Best Salesgirl won by Ms Laila of Sohar Showroom. “Best Salesman” shared by Mr. Talal of Al Hail Showroom and Mr. Pujari of Outdoor Sales and Mr. Bhimani of Project Sales. The prestigious “Best Employee of the year” was shared by Mr. Sreekanth of Outdoor division and Mr. Issa Al Amri of Al Hail Showroom. Best team award went to Outdoor team headed by Mr Fazal. The Long Service Awards for Omani and Non Omani Staff were announced. Mr. Chairman gracefully gave away the awards to the winners. The theme and logo for the year 2010 were introduced by Mr. Hans Meiring during the meeting. Coordination is the theme introduced for year 2010. Mr. Chand Pasha - Commercial Manager gave the vote of thanks and surprised the audience by announcing bonus and Incentive that added flavor and more joy to the occasion.

In continuation to the Annual Day Celebration, the Management had a Day out to Yiti Beach on 12.03.2010 for Al Saleh staff and their family members.

The family of Al Saleh Enterprises LLC was present and the entire atmosphere was euphoric. Exciting games for men, women, and children were organised and delicious breakfast and delicious lunch for the day. It was fun and frolic through out the day and everyone enjoyed rollicking in the sea, playing foot ball, Table Tennis, Caroms, etc. Competitions were held among different age groups to encourage all sections of children. The games were interesting and were enjoyed by all. Separate games for ladies were also conducted.

At the end of the day Prizes were given to the winners and runners and it was distributed by respected GGM and CM. The gifts to the Ladies were distributed by Mrs. GGM and Mrs. Sarah. Every child got attractive gifts on the day.

Prior announcement was made amongst group companies staff and whopping response received. Among them, two persons were to be selected. An elaborate gathering was held at Al Saleh’s Operations Office . Commercial Manager – Mr Chand Pasha welcomed the gathering and the Group Chairman, Mr Mustafa Mukhtar Ali Al Lawati blessed the occasion with his presence. He briefed the gathering with significance and rituals of Haj Pilgrimage. He reiterated the fact that Haj teaches human beings to adopt humbleness, be pious and always remembers Almighty Allah. Al Saleh revised Omani Staff salaries and hike was hefty, a communique issued from corporate office recently. It is elaborated that, for the first time, Omani staff have seen robust hike in their gross emolument. Approx 38% salary increase was awarded to Omani executives, and similar hike was also given for other Omanis employed in the organization at various designated position. Staffs in Al Saleh were overwhelmed with the revision and expressed their gratitude with the bottom of the heart, as our reporter was amongst them with their joy.

Al Saleh Group Celebrated 38th National Day of Oman

In commemoration of 38th National Day celebrations, Al Saleh Group took special pride and organized mammoth function at its Operations Office on 18th November 2008. On this occasion of 38th glorious National Day, Al Saleh Group is honored to extend its heartfelt greetings to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the people of Oman. Rightly observing the paramount importance of National Day, Cheerful staff gathered in large numbers and assembled to witness the great moment.

Entire office was attractively decorated and amongst them, Oman Flag was center of attraction. In addition, traditional songs were played up-till the function. Omanis attended the function with the traditional dress adored the event. Program was commenced with recitation of Holy Quran by Mr Suleman Ali Harthy. A group of Omani staff sang the National Anthem in loud and clear voice, thus expressing patriotism.

The ambiance in the office was enthusiastic and joyful. On its 38th National Day, Omani brothers and Sisters exchanged greetings. Expatriate attending the function with great fervor wished Omani brothers and sisters in the organization and its citizens across Sultanate. Traditional Omani Kahwa and sweets, distributed at the close of the function. Omanis took active part in organizing the function and felt more than glad and happy.

Brand Hayashi, widely known in Oman market for Ceiling and Ventilating Fans organized Electricians Meet on Saturday the 8th November 2008 in Salalah, Dhofar Region. An elaborate gathering was held at Al Saleh’s Operations Office on 26th of August 2008 to elect the aspirants. Commercial Manager – Mr Chand Pasha welcomed the gathering and the Group Chairman, Mr Mustafa Mukhtar Ali Al Lawati blessed the occasion with his presence. He briefed the gathering with significance and rituals of Haj Pilgrimage. He reiterated the fact that Haj teaches human beings to adopt humbleness, be pious and always remembers Almighty Allah. Then comes the delighted moment as raffle draw was about to be held, aptly sensing the happiness, Chairman picked two lucky aspirants and declared two lucky persons to perform Haj. Al Saleh Enterprises LLC, leaders in Lighting conducted Staff Day on 9th April 2008. Al Saleh Group Chairman – Mr Mustafa Mukhtar Bin Ali Al Lawati, Managing Partner – Mr Hussain Salman Bin Ali Al Lawati, Senior Managers, Management Executives were present on the occasion. Prominent Guests were invited to attend the evening event. The programme commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran.

On arrival to the dais, Al Saleh Group Chairman was greeted by Managing Director, Group General Manager, Commercial Manager, Sales Manager, Guests, invitees in particular and all the staff in general. The speech was stimulated and full of ambitions. He announced with pride that Al Saleh’s brands, Hayashi, Rustaq, BG, Excel etc are gaining consistency due to its durability and consistency tends to obtain our share in Oman market. He was clear that all employees should be well taken care of and he was pretty aware that Al Saleh does respond to staff views vigilantly. In his speech, Group General Manager – Mr Abbas H. Nanji highlighted the developments taken place in the last year and thanked Almighty Allah that the actions initiated and policies set by him have proved well and on the track. He was glad to announce that two new showrooms have been opened in the year 2007, one at Bidaya and another elegant showroom at Salalah. Further, talking on Oman, he stressed that economy is booming and urged to take the advantage from the market. While boosting the morale he added, “Play our role more effectively, with the team work, timely and correct decisions, and dedication we will gain the advantage and would grow with the country”. He congratulated the senior managers, particularly, Mr Chand Pasha – Commercial Manager, Mr Shabber Hussain – Sales Manager, Mr Fazal Mohamed – Business Development Manager, Mr Obaid – Chief Accountant, and Mr Jafri – Manager Lightings and Showrooms Manager, senior colleagues for their contribution and asked each staff to prosper. Encouraging Omani colleagues, he urged them to come forward and take senior position and accept additional responsibilities in the organization.

Group General Manager announced significant prizes of the year 2007. “Best Productive Man” of the year conferred to Mr Samar, “Best Salesman” was bagged by Mr Talal of Al Hail Showroom. The Picnic was held on Friday, 10th April 2008 at Sawadi Beach. The day was marked by exuberance and fun for the Al Saleh Staff who put up a fantastic performance.

Indoor games i.e. Table Tennis, Carrom, were held well before the picnic. Various outdoor games were conducted and prizes were distributed by Commercial Manager – Mr Chand Pasha and Sales Manager – Mr Shabber Hussain late in the evening. Competitions were held among different age groups to encourage all sections of children. The games were interesting and were enjoyed by all.
